Notifications for staff
1. Performance task reminders
Staff are sent email reminders only when the task is with them to complete — that is, when they have the next action to take. For example, if a self-assessment is awaiting a staff member’s submission and it’s due tomorrow, the reminder is sent to the staff member — not the manager — because the action is currently with them.
Reminders are sent at the following intervals:
-
Task opened: The day after the task opens for completion
-
Due in 7 days: Seven days before the due date
-
Due tomorrow: The day before the due date
-
Overdue: The day after the due date
Alongside automated reminders, users with the right permissions can manually send reminders to staff for specific tasks whenever needed, outside the standard schedule.
2. Comments & feedback
Staff also receive email notifications when:
-
Feedback is added about their performance
-
A manager adds notes to a 1:1 meeting
-
A manager comments on a self-assessment submission.
Notifications for direct managers
1. Performance task reminders
Direct managers are sent email reminders only when they are the one with action on the task. For example, if a meeting is waiting on a manager to mark complete and it’s due tomorrow, the reminder is sent to the manager — not the staff member — because the action is currently with them.
Reminders are sent at the following intervals:
-
Task opened: The day after the task opens for completion
-
Due in 7 days: Seven days before the due date
-
Due tomorrow: The day before the due date
-
Overdue: The day after the due date
2. Self assessment ready for review
Managers are notified by email any time a staff member submits a self-assessment for review. The notification includes the staff member’s name, the task title, and a direct link to complete the review.
