Understand the My Tasks list in Ausmed Perform

Everything you need to know to manage and action performance tasks efficiently

This article explains how the My Tasks list in Ausmed Perform helps managers track, complete, and manage performance-related activities such as self-assessments, meetings, goals, feedback, and perform notes.

Understanding task types

There are two task types displayed in your My Task list that require action:

  • Self-assessment reviews – reviewing and responding to a staff member’s submitted responses.
  • Meeting forms – documenting notes from a meeting, such as a performance or probation meeting.

How to access My Tasks

  1. Login to the manager portal. 
  2. Select Ausmed Perform from the top navigation bar.
  3. In the left sidebar menu, click My Tasks.
  4. From here, explore the three tab views to help you manage tasks:
  • All Tasks: Shows all performance tasks requiring action by you or your Reports,   regardless of status.
  • Requires Your Action: Shows tasks that need action from you as the Manager.
  • Requires Staff Action: Shows tasks that are currently assigned to staff and awaiting their action.

Each task list is grouped by when the task is due:

  • Overdue
  • Due this week
  • Due next week
  • Due later

Tip: 

Click the Show Filters button to filter each list by:

  • Category (User, Job Role, Team or Location) and Category Type
  • Account Status
  • The Cycle, Activity Type and Activity the task relates to 

How to view task details

To access detailed information about a task:

  1. Click the task from your My Tasks list.
  2. A modal will appear, giving you an overview of the staff member’s progress.
  3. The Task tab displays high-level information about the task.
  4. The Details tab displays information like the task status, due date and more. 
  5. In the Overview section you’ll also see at a glance how that staff member is tracking. This includes:
  • Compliance status for Learning and Policies.
  • Training plans they’re enrolled in
  • Policies they need to acknowledge
  • Goals, feedback, and Perform Notes linked to their performance

This gives you a full picture of compliance and performance in one place.


How to action a Perform task

Follow these steps to action  a task in Ausmed Perform:

  1. Locate the task in your My Tasks list.
  2. Hover over the task row and click Open.
  3. Review the task details and any related compliance or performance details.
  4. Take the appropriate action depending on the task type:
    • For self-assessments, read the reflection and provide your response.
    • For meeting forms, complete notes or comments from your discussion.
  5. Choose from the following options:
    • Save as draft if you need to come back later.
    • Save and mark as complete when finished.
    • Skip the task if it’s not required (e.g. staff on leave).
  6. Optionally, send a reminder to prompt action from yourself or your team member.

 

Tip: Skipping a task doesn’t delete it – it marks it as not required, so reporting remains accurate.


Extra tools for managers

The My Tasks list also allows managers to directly support performance management by:

  • Adding a Perform Note for any direct report.
  • Setting a new goal for staff.
  • Giving feedback on recent performance.

 

Tip: Use these tools anytime, not just when a task is due. They’re available on demand via the My Tasks interface.
