Training Customisation: frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about customising your Ausmed modules — the Policies product, re-downloads, broken policy links, acknowledgement, quiz results and LMS availability.

Who does this article apply to? Organisation Managers of Ausmed Library™ (SCORM) customers.

Common questions about customising your Ausmed modules.

Do I need the Ausmed Policies product to use this?

No. You link to your policies wherever they already live — for example, SharePoint. Training Customisation doesn't require the Policies product.

Do I need to re-download my SCORM files every time I change a policy?

No. You only re-download once, and only for files downloaded before this feature was released. After that first download, all your edits flow through automatically. Files downloaded from the release date onward never need re-downloading for updates. See "Download your customised SCORM file".

My staff can't open the policy link. What's wrong?

This is almost always an access issue on your side rather than an Ausmed one. Systems like SharePoint often require staff to be signed in. Check the link works for a staff member who isn't already logged in to that system. If it still doesn't work, contact Manager Support.

Does this prove my staff read the policy?

No. You can show a policy and add a quiz to check understanding, but there's no acknowledgement record — Training Customisation doesn't track who read or accepted a policy. Acknowledgement tracking is part of the Ausmed Policies product.

Can I put my content in the middle of an Ausmed module?

No. Your content goes before and after the module only. There's no way to insert content into the middle of a module.

I updated one block — did it change my other modules?

Yes, if that block is used in more than one module. Editing a block updates every module it appears in. Before you save, Ausmed shows a confirmation listing every affected module. See "Reuse and edit blocks across modules".

Are quiz answers stored or reported?

No, not in this release. Quiz questions check understanding but aren't scored or recorded. If quiz results would be valuable to your organisation, let us know through Manager Support so we can feed it back to the product team.

Is this available for Ausmed Learn (LMS) as well?

Not yet. Training Customisation is available for Library (SCORM) customers first. LMS support is planned to follow.
