Surveys updated to support Anonymous responses

We've updated the Surveys feature to now support the ability for managers to collect anonymous responses

Who does this article apply to?

We’re excited to announce a powerful enhancement to our Surveys feature – the ability to collect anonymous responses.

✨ What’s New

You can now create surveys that allow participants to respond anonymously, helping you gather more honest, candid, and actionable feedback – especially when addressing sensitive topics like workplace culture, job satisfaction, or team dynamics.

🔐 How It Works

  • When setting up a new survey, you’ll now see an option to Collect Responses Anonymously toggle

  • When enabled:

    • Identifying information (e.g. names, emails, user IDs) is not stored or accessible with the response.

    • Responses are still time-stamped and aggregated in analytics, but are not linked to specific individuals.

    • Participation is optional, as with all surveys – anonymous or not.

🎯 Why This Matters

This feature helps:

  • Foster trust and transparency across your teams.

  • Support compliance and psychological safety frameworks.

  • Increase response rates and improve feedback quality.

🛠️ Getting Started

To enable anonymous surveys:

  1. Go to Surveys in your dashboard.

  2. Click Create Survey or edit an existing one.

  3. Toggle "Collect Responses Anonymously toggle" in the Survey creation modal.

🔎 Note

Once anonymous mode is turned on for a survey, it cannot be reversed after responses are collected – to maintain integrity and participant confidence.
