Permissions Management | 9th April 2026
Administrators can now manage user access across the Ausmed LMS with fine-grained control. The new Permissions suite introduces a centralised permissions table, scoped data access, and custom role creation — giving organisations the flexibility to define exactly who can see and do what.
Who does this article apply to?
Centralised permissions table
View all roles in one place — both Ausmed-managed default roles and any custom roles your organisation has created. Access via Settings → Permissions.
Role assignment
Assign users to any role directly from the permissions table using the three-dot menu → Assign. Users can also be assigned from their individual profile page under Edit → Permissions.
Per-role permission viewer
Inspect the full permission set for any role across all product lines via three-dot menu → View permissions. Useful for auditing access before assigning users.
Scoped data access
When assigning a user to a role, choose the scope of their access:
- Full organisation — the user can view and act on data for the entire organisation.
- Group access — the user is limited to specific teams or locations you define.
Custom role creation
Create roles tailored to your organisation's structure. Give the role a name and description, optionally copy permissions from an existing role, then toggle individual permissions on or off across each Ausmed product area.
