Use folders when you want to: - Group policies by job role (e.g. Nursing, Admin, Kitchen) - Limit visibility to certain teams or individuals - Create a clearer experience for staff navigating the policy library --- ### How to create folders To create a folder: 1. Go to **Policies** \> **Your Policy Library** 2. Choose who can see the folder: - **Everyone** (all users) - **Restricted** (specific job roles) 5. To create a subfolder - simply follow the instructions above, then drag the folder into the relevant parent folder ![](https://knowledge.organisations.ausmed.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Nov-19-2025-01-03-30-8006-AM.png?width=245&height=121&name=image-png-Nov-19-2025-01-03-30-8006-AM.png) --- ### How folder permissions work A folder's visibility setting determines who can see the folder and any policies placed inside it. - **If a policy is moved into a folder**, it inherits that folder’s visibility settings—even if the policy previously had custom visibility settings. - You’ll receive a prompt confirming that folder permissions will override the policy’s previous settings. > Tip: Legacy visibility settings on policies still apply if no folder is used, making this system flexible for all organisations. --- ### How to move policies into folders 1. Go to **Your Policy Library** 2. Locate the policy you want to move 3. Drag and drop the policy into the desired folder A confirmation will appear if permissions are changing.
