These notifications ensure that staff are aware of recommended training and receive timely reminders to complete it. This article explains how and when these notifications are triggered. **Who does this article apply to?** - Users with access to [Ausmed's Learning Management System](https://knowledge.organisations.ausmed.com.au/en/knowledge/access-the-policy-management-system?hsLang=en) **In this article:** - [New optional training assigned](https://knowledge.organisations.ausmed.com.au/en/knowledge/optional-training-notifications#new) - [Manual reminders for optional training](https://knowledge.organisations.ausmed.com.au/en/knowledge/optional-training-notifications#manual-optional) Two types of notifications are sent by email for optional training: when new training is assigned and when a manual reminder is sent. **1. New optional training assigned** - **Purpose:** Informs users of new optional training suggested for them. - **Trigger:** Sent within 24 hours from when the training is manually assigned via the manager portal. [Click here](https://knowledge.organisations.ausmed.com.au/en/knowledge/manually-assign-optional-learning?hsLang=en) for instructions on how to manually assign optional training. - **Notes**: - This notification only applies to optional training that is manually assigned.
