Account status | The current state of a user's Ausmed account, which may be active, invited, pending, inactive or rejected at any point in time. Learn more. |
Archived | A status given to a learning item to indicate that users can no longer access it in My Organisation. |
Article | A text-based learning item. |
Assessment | An evaluation of an individual's knowledge and/or skills. |
Category | A grouping concept, which may be users, teams or job roles. |
Category type | A subset of a category, which may be individual users, teams or job roles. |
Content library | A repository in My Organisation that houses your organisation's learning items. |
Completed | The status given to a compliance requirement that has been met. |
Compliance record | Compliance records, also known as compliance requirements, represent requests to users to complete learning. Compliance records contain data on who is required to complete the learning, what they need to complete, and the timeline for this. Learn more. |
Compliance record ID | A set of system-generated numbers to uniquely identify a compliance record or requirement. |
Compliance requirement | Another name for a compliance record, which represents requests to users to complete learning. Compliance records contain data on who is required to complete the learning, what they need to complete, and the timeline for this. Learn more. |
Compliance Workroom | A dedicated space to manage scheduled, open, overdue and missed compliance requirements. |
Compliant user | A user that has completed all of their assigned compliance requirements. |
Course | A type of learning item made up of units and assessments. |
Date completed | The date a compliance requirement was met, and when the status of the requirement was updated to completed. |
Days extended | The number of days between the original due date of a compliance requirement and the current due date, or in other words, the number of days between when the requirement was first due and the latest due date. |
Days overdue | The number of days between the due date of a compliance requirement and the date completed, or in other words, the number of days between when the requirement is due and when it is completed. |
Draft | A status given to a learning item to indicate it is not yet available for users to access in My Organisation. |
Due date | The date a compliance requirement must be completed by. |
Duration | The expected time it takes to complete a learning item. |
Early recognition date | The start date for early recognition, which means that if the user completes a compliance requirement between this date and the open date, the requirement is automatically marked as completed, and the user is not assigned the requirement on the open date. |

Expired | A status given to a learning item indicating it is past its expiry date and therefore outdated. |
Feedback | Qualitative comments made by users about their experience in completing learning items. |
Internal record |
A type of learning record, meaning the record was created when a manager added an internal record to the system, or when records were imported from another system. |
Item | An online or face-to-face learning activity. |
Item ID | A set of letters and/or numbers to uniquely identify a learning item. |
Item type | A type of learning item, such as a course, video or article. |
Job role | A grouping concept representing the professions that exist in an organisation with common learning compliance obligations. Learn more. |
Learning compliance rate | The percentage of active users in an organisation who have completed all their assigned compliance requirements and are therefore compliant with learning. |
Learning record | The proof or evidence that learning has been completed, and contain data on who completed the learning, what they completed, and key dates. |
Lecture | A video-based type of learning item. |
Manager portal | A dedicated space for users with organisation or team manager permissions to manage all aspects of an organisation's Ausmed for Organisations products, including the learning and policy management systems. |
Mandatory training | In its simplest form, mandatory training in the health and aged care sector refers to compulsory training (online or in-person) required by an organisation to be undertaken by anyone working in that place. |
Manually assign | The process of manually requesting users complete learning, instead of automatically through a training plan. |
Missed | The status given to a compliance requirement that has not been completed before the due date or the final deadline, known as the overdue end date, whichever comes last. |
My Organisation | A dedicated space on ausmed.com.au and Ausmed's app, where users can view and complete learning, as well as view and acknowledge policies made available through the manager portal for Ausmed's learning and policy management systems. |
Non-compliant user | A user with one or more overdue or missed compliance requirements. |
Open | The status given to a compliance requirement that is assigned to a user and is now open for completion. |
Open date | The date a compliance requirements is assigned to a user and opens for completion, signalling the start of the open period. |
Open period | Refers to the time between when a compliance requirement opens for completion, known as the open date, and the date it needs to be completed by, known as the due date. |
Organisation manager | A type of permission determining what users can see and do in Ausmed's Learning Management System. |
Original due date | The original date a compliance requirement is due for completion by. |
Overdue | The status given to a compliance requirements that has not been completed before the due date, but is still before the overdue end date or final deadline. |
Overdue period | Refers to the time between when a compliance requirement needs to be completed by, known as the due date, and the final deadline, known as the overdue end date. |
Overdue end date | The end date for the overdue period for a compliance requirement. |
Portfolio | An online tool for documenting continuing professional development. |
Providers | Reputable providers of educational content that Ausmed selectively works with to deliver their content through our products and services. Learn more. |
Practical activity | A type of learning item that represents face-to-face learning undertaken offline, such as a workshop, demonstration, in-service, etc |
Published | A status given to a learning item to indicate it is available for users to access in My Organisation. |
Related job roles | The job roles a learning item relates to. |
Related standards | The standards a learning item relates to. |
Related topics | The topics a learning item relates to. |
Reported time spent learning | How long it took a user to complete a learning item, as reported by whoever created the learning record. |
Resource | Another name for a learning item. |
Scheduled | The status given to a compliance requirement assigned to a user on the open date, which is the date the requirement opens to the user for completion. |
SCORM file | A type of pre-packaged learning item short for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. |
Team | A grouping concept representing an organisation's structure and reporting lines. Users can belong to one or more teams. Learn more. |
Team manager | A type of permission determining what users can see and do in Ausmed's Learning Management System. |
Training plan | A way to automatically assign mandatory training to staff at an organisation. |
Training module | A short video-based learning item made up of units and assessments. |
Unit | A series of learning items contained within a course. |
User | A person added to an organisation's Ausmed for Organisations account. |
User completed | A type of learning record indicating the record was created when a user marked a compliance requirement or manually assigned learning item as completed. |
User documented | A type of learning record indicating the record was created when a user documented learning in their portfolio. |
User ID | A set of letters and/or numbers to uniquely identify a user, such as an employee number or membership number. |
Video | A video-based type of learning item. |
Web link | A type of learning item containing a hyperlink to an external site. |
Your Library | A repository containing all the learning items added by users who have access to Ausmed's Learning Management System. |
