Edit an additional document

Learn how to edit a draft or published additional document.

As long as you have organisation manager permissions, you can edit an additional document as often as you need before publishing it. You can also edit a published document as many times as needed to reflect changes in the document over time.

How to continue editing a draft document

Steps

  1. Go to Policies in the top navigation bar of the manager portal, then go to Your Additional Documents in the left sidebar menu.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    1. Hover over the draft document you would like to continue editing, then click Continue Editing.
    2. Click the title of the draft document you would like to continue editing, then in the upper right of the document item details page, click Continue Editing.  
  3. Click Change File to replace your file with another from your computer, or keep the current file. 
  4. Edit the overview information if you would like to: 
    1. Title - edit the name of the document.
    2. (Optional) Item ID - edit a set of letters and/or numbers to uniquely identify the document.
    3. (Optional) Description - edit a few sentences to describe the document to other users in the manager portal.
  5. Click Publish if you would like to publish the document now. Otherwise, click Save Changes if you would like to continue editing it later.

How to edit a published policy

Steps

  1. Go to Policies in the top navigation bar of the manager portal, then go to Your Additional Documents in the left sidebar menu.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    1. Hover over the row of the published document you would like to edit, then click Edit.
    2. Click the title of the published document you would like to edit, then in the upper right of the document item details page, click Edit
  3. Click Change File to replace your file with another from your computer, or keep the current file. 
  4. Edit the overview information if you would like to:
    1. Title - edit the name of the document.
    2. (Optional) Item ID - edit a set of letters and/or numbers to uniquely identify the document.
    3. (Optional) Description - edit a few sentences to describe the document to other users in the manager portal.
  5. If your document is attached to one or more policies, click Next to continue, then click Update. Otherwise, just click Update

Note: As soon as you update an additional document, it will be automatically updated in all the policies it's attached to.
