How to manage Assessors
Everything you need to manage who assesses your competencies
Who is this article for?
-
Users with access to Ausmed Competency™
In this article:
Assessors need the clinical knowledge and skills to judge the competency they're assessing, and should be inducted in line with your organisation's policies for competency assessment. Ausmed Competency™ controls who has access, not who is qualified to assess, so that judgement stays with you.
How to grant Assessor permission
✅ Steps
-
Check the Assessor has an account. If they don't, add them as a user first.
-
Then check they're assigned to a permission role with Perform Assessments turned on. This is enabled by default for the Assessor, Organisation Manager, and Team or Location Manager roles.
-
To check or update someone's permissions, see how to configure Permissions for your Organisation.
How to add or remove an Assessor
📺 Watch "How to add or remove an Assessor" to see this in action, or follow the steps below.
✅ Steps
Option 1: From the competency library
- Go to your Competency Library
- Hover over the competency assessment
- Click Add/remove assessor
- Find and select the person you want to add, or deselect someone you want to remove
- Click Save
Option 2: From the competency details page
- Open the competency assessment from your Competency Library
- Navigate to the Assessors tab
- Select Add/remove assessor in the top right
- Find and select the person you want to add, or deselect someone you want to remove
- Select Save
Once saved, added Assessors will be able to search for the assessment in Ausmed Assess. Removed assessors will lose access immediately.
❗ If no assessors have been added to a competency assessment, no one will be able to assess it. You'll see an alert on your Competency Library when a published assessment has no assessors added.
