Ausmed Perform Update: New Self-Assessment Review Settings & Manager Comment Controls | 6th Feb 2026
We’ve introduced new configuration options in Ausmed Perform Self-Assessments, giving organisations more flexibility in how assessments are reviewed and completed.
Who does this article apply to?
⚡ New Review Setting: Autocomplete on Submission
A second review option is now available: Auto-complete on Submission.
When enabled:
-
The self-assessment automatically moves to Completed immediately after the employee submits it
-
No manager review is required
-
Managers can proceed directly to running a meeting linked to the self-assessment
This is ideal for lightweight self-reflection activities that don’t require formal manager approval.
📝 New Question-Level Toggle: Show Manager Comment Box
In the Self-Assessment creator, each question now includes a new toggle:
Show Manager Comment Box
When toggled off:
-
No manager comment box will appear for that specific question during manager review
When toggled on:
-
Managers will see a dedicated comment field under the employee response for that question
This enables more targeted feedback and cleaner assessments by only showing manager comment fields where needed.
🔍 What This Means for Users
These updates provide greater flexibility by allowing organisations to:
-
Control whether self-assessments require manager review or complete automatically
-
Choose which questions require manager feedback
-
Reduce friction for simple assessments while keeping structured review available where needed
