Add quiz questions to a module

How to add quiz questions before or after a module to check staff understanding — and why the quiz isn't scored, recorded, or a substitute for policy acknowledgement.

Who does this article apply to? Organisation Managers of Ausmed Library™ (SCORM) customers.

You can add quiz questions before or after an Ausmed module — for example, to check staff understand a policy you've shown them. This article covers how, and what the quiz does and doesn't do.

Add quiz questions
  1. Customise the module (Training Schedule → Customise in the Customisation column).
  2. In the Before module or After module section, select Add block -> New quiz.
  3. For each question:
    1. Enter the question text.
    2. Add the answer options.
    3. Mark the correct answer.
    4. Add a rationale (optional) — an explanation staff see after they answer, so a quiz doubles as a teaching moment.
  4. Select Add question to add more.
  5. Select Done.
What staff see

Staff answer the questions in the course flow. They get immediate feedback, including the rationale if you added one.

Good to know
  • Quiz questions check understanding — they aren't a graded test. Staff can answer as often as they like. Answers aren't scored or recorded in this release, so a quiz doesn't gate or block module completion.
  • Answers aren't stored. You won't see a report of who answered what. If storing quiz results would be valuable to your organisation, let us know through Manager Support so we can feed it back to the product team.
  • A quiz doesn't prove staff read a policy. It checks understanding, but there's no acknowledgement record. Acknowledgement tracking is part of the Ausmed Policies product.
