What are goals in Ausmed Perform?
Goals in Ausmed Perform are specific, trackable outcomes or intentions set for individual staff. They help guide development, performance, and learning by linking activities and CPD to meaningful objectives. Staff can view their goals. Each goal:
- Has a title (entered in plain text)
- Is assigned to one user only
- Includes a due date
- Can be connected to CPD activities via the portfolio
How to add a goal
To add a goal from the Goals section in the Manager Portal:
- Go to Goals in the navigation menu.
- Click Add Goal.
- Enter the goal
- Select the goal owner (you can only select one user at a time).
- Choose a due date.
- Click Add Goal to enter the goal into the system.
You can edit a users goal, or mark a users goal as complete at any time.
How staff interact with their goals
Staff can access their goals at any time through both the web and mobile versions of Ausmed. Goals appear in their My Goals section, where they can:
- View assigned goals
- Link learning or CPD evidence to a goal from their portfolio
This encourages continuous learning and allows self-reflection to be tied to tangible objectives.
View and report on goals
Managers can track goals across the organisation or filter by specific attributes:
- Go to the Goals tab in the manager portal.
- Use filters such as:
- User

- Team
-
- Job role
-
- Location
-
- Manager
-
- Timeframe
This report provides a clear picture of:
- Who has active goals
- Which goals are overdue or complete
- Progress towards strategic or developmental priorities
Adding Goals in My Tasks
Goals can also be created during performance check-ins or as part of completing tasks:
- Go to My Tasks.
- Select Set a Goal.
- Enter the goal
- Select the goal owner (you can only select one user at a time).
- Choose a due date.
- Click Add Goal to enter the goal into the system.
Tips
- Link to CPD: Encourage staff to tag their learning to goals through their CPD portfolio.
- Single User Assignment: You can only assign a goal to one staff member at a time.
