Activate Knowledge Verification

Knowledge Verification lives in the Learn module under Plan > Knowledge Verification.

If Knowledge Verification has not yet been enabled for your organisation, select Get started.


Steps

  1. Navigate to Learn > Plan > Knowledge Verification
  2. Review the eligible modules available for Knowledge Verification
  3. Enable the modules you want to use
  4. Review the assessment rules:
    • Pass mark
    • Questions per learning outcome
    • Prior completion requirements
  5. (Optional) Configure staff scope filters
  6. Click Activate Knowledge Verification
  7. Review the confirmation message
  8. Click Confirm and Save

Knowledge Verification will become active immediately.


Configure eligible modules

Knowledge Verification is available on selected Ausmed modules.

New Knowledge Verification-enabled modules will appear in the table automatically, but must be enabled manually.

The modules table includes:

  • Module duration
  • Assessment duration
  • Open requirements
  • Question bank access

You can enable:

  • All modules
  • Specific modules only

Review the question bank

Each Knowledge Verification assessment includes a question bank linked to the module’s learning outcomes.

To review the question bank:

  1. Open a module
  2. Select View Question Bank
  3. Review:
    • Questions
    • Answer options
    • Correct answers

Question banks can be used to quality check assessments before activation.


Configure assessment rules

Minimum pass mark

Choose the minimum score staff must achieve to pass.

Pass Mark Description
80% Suitable for lower-risk content
90% Higher-assurance standard
100% All questions must be correct

Questions per learning outcome

Choose how many questions are generated for each learning outcome.

Option Questions per learning outcome
Standard 2 questions
Extended 3 questions
Comprehensive 4 questions

For example:

A module with 4 learning outcomes using:

  • Standard = 8 questions
  • Extended = 12 questions
  • Comprehensive = 16 questions

Require prior completion

Choose whether staff must complete the module before attempting Knowledge Verification.

Setting Behaviour
No, allow assessment at any time Staff can attempt Knowledge Verification immediately
Yes, require full completion first Staff must complete the module once before receiving Knowledge Verification assessments

 


Configure staff scope

You can limit Knowledge Verification to specific staff groups using:

  • Job roles
  • Teams
  • Locations

Staff must match all selected filters to receive Knowledge Verification.

If no filters are selected, Knowledge Verification will apply to all staff.


Updating settings

All Knowledge Verification settings apply immediately after saving.

You can update:

  • Enabled modules
  • Pass marks
  • Question settings
  • Staff scope filters

Changes will apply to future Knowledge Verification assessments automatically.
